BOOKINGS + CANCELLATION POLICY
-
Prior to your appointment at The Aesthetic Skin Clinic, you will receive a digital Pre-Check Form via SMS. This must be completed ahead of each visit to ensure your safety and allow our clinicians to tailor your treatment appropriately. If not submitted in advance, you will be required to complete the form upon arrival, which may impact your appointment time. All new clients are required to attend a professional skin consultation, where we assess your skin in its natural state and create a personalised treatment and home care plan. To support this, please bring a list—or the physical products—you currently use, so we can review ingredients and provide the most accurate, informed recommendations.
While you may arrive with a particular treatment in mind, our team will always prioritise what is clinically appropriate for your skin’s condition and long-term health. For all laser and IPL-based treatments, a test patch is required 24–48 hours prior to ensure your safety and suitability. Some advanced procedures may also require a period of skin preparation beforehand; for example, deep peels cannot be performed on untreated or compromised skin. These protocols ensure we achieve optimal results while preserving the integrity of your skin.
-
Some of our advanced treatments may require the use of prescribed pre- and post-care products as part of a “skin prep” protocol. These corrective formulations are essential to support the treatment area, enhance results, and minimise any associated risks. For certain procedures, this preparation is non-negotiable to ensure both safety and efficacy. Your clinician will guide you through any required product protocols during your consultation or prior to your treatment.
-
For the safety of our clients, all laser and IPL-based treatments require a mandatory test patch 24–48 hours prior to the full procedure. This allows us to assess skin responses and ensure suitability for treatment. In some cases, a medical clearance may be required if you have underlying conditions or are taking medications that may impact your treatment outcome or skin response.
It is your responsibility to disclose all relevant medical information during your consultation and throughout your treatment journey. Failure to do so may compromise your results and safety, and The Aesthetic Skin Clinic will not be held liable for undisclosed contraindications.
-
At The Aesthetic Skin Clinic, client safety is our highest priority. In certain cases, during your consultation or prior to treatment, our clinicians may identify suspicious lesions, moles, or areas of concern that require further medical evaluation.
Before proceeding with laser treatments or advanced skin procedures, we may refer you to a GP or dermatologist for a formal skin check or clearance. This is a precautionary measure to ensure we do not treat areas that may require medical attention, and to uphold the highest standard of care and clinical safety.
We appreciate your understanding, and we’re committed to working alongside healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for your skin and overall health.
-
At The Aesthetic Skin Clinic, we deeply value your time and are committed to delivering an exceptional experience for every client. In order to maintain the highest level of care and respect for all appointment times, we uphold a strict 24-hour cancellation policy.
A non-refundable 50% booking fee is required for all skin appointments. This amount is applied toward your treatment on the day or may be held on your account for future bookings. If you cancel or fail to attend your appointment within 24 hours, your booking fee will be forfeited as a cancellation fee. For clients with prepaid treatments and no deposit on file, one treatment will be forfeited in the event of a late cancellation or no-show.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to provide a seamless and respectful experience for all clients.
-
You will receive an SMS and email reminder 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. We understand that circumstances may arise, and if you need to reschedule or cancel, we kindly ask that you provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the appointment to another client and ensures your deposit or prepaid treatment remains secure.
To make changes to your booking, please contact the clinic directly on (03) 5269 1847 or email info@theaestheticskinclinic.com.au. Please note that cancellations made via social media will not be accepted.
This policy is in place to confirm your commitment to your appointment and to protect the time and resources of The Aesthetic Skin Clinic in the event of late cancellations or non-attendance.
-
At The Aesthetic Skin Clinic, we accept all major credit and debit cards, including AMEX, as well as cash, Afterpay, and ZipPay. Please note that bank cheques are not accepted. All treatments and product purchases must be paid in full on the day of your appointment.
If payment is not received at the time of service, or if a client leaves the premises without settling their account, all future appointments will be cancelled, and the individual will be prohibited from returning to the clinic. In such cases, The Aesthetic Skin Clinic reserves the right to pursue legal action.
Afterpay and ZipPay are available for use on all skin treatments, products, and packages. To ensure smooth processing, we recommend that clients set up and receive approval for these payment options prior to their appointment. Please note that we are not responsible for eligibility outcomes or repayment terms as determined by Afterpay or ZipPay.
All card payments will incur a 1.5% surcharge.
-
At The Aesthetic Skin Clinic, we do not offer refunds for treatments, products or prepaid treatments/packages in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
By purchasing, you acknowledge and agree that the payment is non-refundable, including in instances where personal circumstances change, you are unable to continue with treatment, or you choose to discontinue the package. We do not offer refunds for change of mind.
By proceeding with payment, you confirm your acceptance of these terms.
-
All prepaid treatments, packages, and services at The Aesthetic Skin Clinic are non-refundable, as outlined in our refund policy. By processing payment, you confirm your acceptance of these terms. This policy is clearly stated in our initial consultation forms, consent forms, and on our website under Clinic Policies.
Prepaid treatments are not transferable to another individual or to a different treatment area. Should you choose to discontinue a prepaid package, we are happy to transfer the remaining dollar value toward another treatment or product within the clinic.
Please note: If you fail to attend your scheduled appointment or cancel within 24 hours and do not have a deposit on file, one prepaid treatment will be forfeited as a cancellation fee to honour our therapists’ time and clinic resources.
-
To maintain the integrity of our appointment schedule and respect every client’s time, we kindly ask that you arrive on time for your treatment. If you are more than 10 minutes late, your appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled, depending on the treatment and clinic flow. In these cases, our cancellation policy and forfeiture terms may apply.
We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early to settle in and complete any necessary forms prior to treatment.
-
At The Aesthetic Skin Clinic, every detail of your experience matters to us. Our priority is to provide a safe, serene, and professional environment where each treatment is delivered with the highest standard of care. As we operate class 4 medical-grade lasers, advanced light-based technologies, and specialised equipment, safety is paramount.
For this reason, we kindly ask that children under the age of 12 are not brought into treatment rooms or left unsupervised in the clinic. While we understand and respect the demands of motherhood, we are unfortunately unable to provide supervision during your appointment.
To better accommodate our clients’ schedules, we offer late-night appointments every Tuesday and Thursday until 8pm — so you can prioritise self-care at a time that suits you.
-
At The Aesthetic Skin Clinic, gift vouchers are available for all treatments and dollar values, and may be redeemed on any in-clinic service or product, excluding cosmetic tattooing and injectable treatments performed by external nurse contractors. Vouchers may be used for cosmetic injectables only when performed by our in-house nurse, Mia.
All vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase and must be presented on the day of your appointment to be redeemed. Lost or misplaced vouchers cannot be replaced, and expired vouchers cannot be honoured.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable, and must be used by the original recipient. In the event of a no-show or late cancellation (within 24 hours), the voucher will be forfeited in line with our clinic policy.
We kindly encourage all voucher bookings to be made thoughtfully, so we can deliver the full experience your gift was intended to provide.
-
From time to time, The Aesthetic Skin Clinic offers exclusive promotions and special discounts on selected treatments and products.
Please note that any complimentary credits, earned rewards, or loyalty discounts provided by the clinic are only redeemable on full-priced treatments and products. These offers cannot be combined or “stacked” with other discounts, promotional pricing, or package offers.
We appreciate your understanding as we continue to provide value while maintaining the highest level of care and service.
-
While our team at The Aesthetic Skin Clinic is highly trained and committed to achieving outstanding results, individual outcomes may vary depending on skin type, medical history, lifestyle, and adherence to recommended protocols.
We do not guarantee specific results, as every client responds differently to treatment. Commitment to consistent care, follow-up sessions, and prescribed home-care routines is essential to achieving and maintaining optimal outcomes.
-
At The Aesthetic Skin Clinic, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment for both clients and staff. We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual in circumstances including, but not limited to:
Disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour
Intoxication or drug influence
Medical contraindications or undeclared health conditions
Unreasonable expectations or non-compliance with clinic policies
Our priority is your safety, our team’s wellbeing, and the integrity of the client experience.
