The Alexandrite laser emits a specific wavelength of light that is selectively absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles. As the laser energy is absorbed, it transforms into heat, effectively disabling the hair follicles and inhibiting future hair growth.

Anyone concerned with unwanted hair. Hair colour needs to be dark or brown as laser will not work on white, blonde, red or greys hairs.

Results can be seen in one treatment however we advise a series of 6-12 treatments to reach a maintenance stage. Once reaching a maintenance stage, treatments can be done on fine fluffy sporadic hairs once every 12 months +.

Depending on your hair growth, we generally suggest anywhere from 4-6 weeks when starting treatments followed by pushing out to 8-12.

For the face, we suggest every 2 weeks then pushing out to 4-6.

A pigment inhibitor is a non negotiable for this treatment including SPF. Your skin therapist will advise in your initial skin consultation what will be best for your skin.

There is no downtime associated with laser hair removal. Mild redness and some itching can be present for up to 24hours.
